In a battle of unbeatens, Penn State came out on top Friday night in a marquee B1G wrestling dual meet. The Nittany Lions (11-0, 4-0) beat Iowa by a score of Iowa 23-14, allowing just 2 takedowns in the dominant win.

Penn State’s Greg Kerkvliet defeated Iowa’s Tony Cassioppi to officially secure the W.

The event was held in front of 15.998 fans, tied for the most of any for an NCAA indoor Dual meet. The previous record was also set by Penn State and Iowa in Happy Valley. THis is the 73rd sellout in 75 events.

Penn State’s Marco Vespa fell to Iowa’s Spencer Lee to begin, but the Nittany Lions quickly found traction with Roman Bravo-Young pinning Hawkeyes’ Brody Teske. Penn State allowed Iowa the lead until the last 3 matches, where Penn State finished strong to win outright.

Up next for Penn State is at Ohio State on Feb. 3 at 7 p.m.
