No. 6-ranked Ohio State and No. 2-ranked Penn State square off in what will likely decide the winner of the Big Ten East Division at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Columbus, Ohio.
College GameDay’s Maria Taylor interviewed Ohio State coach Urban Meyer inside Ohio State’s football facility during Saturday’s show.
Undefeated Penn State has Heisman Trophy leader Saquon Barkley, along with explosive quarterback Trace McSorely. Slowing down Penn State’s two biggest play makers will be key for the Buckeyes in order to have a chance at winning their toughest game this season.
“They have a very talented tight end, one of the best groups of wide receivers depth wise and ability wise we’ve gone against,” Meyer said. “This is going to be a heck of a challenge. I like to think the best defense is also, we have to play well on offense and control the line of scrimmage. Make them go length off the field.”
Meyer has won 20 straight games when his team was coming off a bye week.
Ohio State is 15-8 all-time against Penn State, but lost last season’s meeting on the road, 24-21. The Buckeyes allowed 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.
