Rapheal Davis, former Purdue star, makes case for Purdue-Indiana being greatest college basketball rivalry

Rapheal Davis made a bold claim Saturday morning ahead of a top 25 matchup between No. 1 Purdue and No. 21 Indiana.
The former Purdue B1G Defensive Player of the Year said that the rivalry between the Boilermakers and Hoosier is the greatest rivalry in college basketball. Step aside, Duke-North Carolina!
That opinion would make a lot of people upset, but it isn’t too far off base. He explained his reasoning on B1G Network.
“This is a game where records go out the window, it doesn’t matter how well you’re playing that year,” Davis said. “This is the game fans want to see, this is the game that determines whose state it is for the next year… We’ve seen chairs thrown, we’ve seen donkeys, we’ve seen ejections, we’ve seen No. 1 picks. This is the biggest game on the schedule.”
You can find Davis’ full thoughts on the topic below.

Purdue holds a commanding 9-1 record across the past 10 games, with its sole loss coming last year at Assembly Hall.
The Boilermakers and Hoosiers face off once again Saturday at 4 p.m. on ESPN in Bloomington.
