Nick Jackson is coming off a stretch of three-straight 100+ tackle seasons for Virginia. Now, he’s bringing his talents to the B1G for the 2023 season.
Wednesday evening, Jackson announced a commitment to Iowa via the portal. The former 3-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class should be a plug-and-play defender in the middle of the Hawkeye defense.

Jackson was the leading tackler for the Cavs for three seasons running with at least 103 tackles from 2020-22. He set a career-high with 117 tackles during the 2021 season but added a new career-high in sacks last season with 5.
For his career, Jackson has 352 tackles, 20 TFL, 10.5 sacks and 8 pass breakups. For an Iowa defense losing some key pieces — including star linebacker Jack Campbell — Jackson will be a welcome addition for Phil Parker’s unit in Iowa City.
