Sparks highlighted Labriola’s ability as an elite scrambler while going 2-0 over the weekend:
“So strong and physical but one of the best scramblers of any weight class in the entire country,” said Sparks. “On Friday night in a 4-4 match with Ethan Smith of Ohio State, Labriola scores a takedown in the final seconds to win 6-4.”
As for Maryland, the Terrapins rallied from 8 points down in the last 2 matches to secure their first B1G dual win since 2016. Meanwhile, Medley recorded 24 total points with 10 takedowns in a major decision against Indiana.
Stay tuned for the rest of the wrestling season, including postseason duals down the road.
