Ohio State basketball has had far from the season it was hoping for in 2023.
The Buckeyes are the victims of a tough conference and the fact that somebody has to lose at the end of the day. They’re dropped 8 straight and 13 of their last 14 for a dismal 3-13 conference record.
The going got even worse for the Buckeyes Wednesday afternoon when head coach Chris Holtmann revealed that starting center Zed Key will miss the remainder of the season after a scheduled shoulder surgery. Key injured his shoulder against Purdue on Jan 5 and has been dealing with lingering issues since.
Ohio State center Zed Key (shoulder) is having “season-ending surgery here soon,” according to Chris Holtmann.
