Davon Mitchell, 5-star TE for 2025, keeps 3 B1G programs in top 11 list

Davon Mitchell is a big-time tight end prospect out of Los Alamitos, California for the class of 2025. On Friday, he updated his recruitment with a top 11 list.
Mitchell kept Penn State and Ohio State in the mix, along with USC as the Trojans will be joining the B1G in 2024. Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Oregon and South Carolina round out Mitchell’s list.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds, Mitchell is rated as a 5-star prospect and the nation’s No. 1 TE for the 2025 recruiting class by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He’s also rated the 4th-best player out of California and the No. 26 player in the country.
Mitchell began his career at Allen High School in Allen, Texas before transferring to Los Alamitos. It will be interesting to see where he winds up to begin his college career.
