Rutgers completed a 19-point comeback against Penn State on Sunday night.

The Scarlet Knights won 59-56 despite facing a major deficit earlier in the game. They were able to hold off multiple game-tying 3-point attempts on the final possession.

Here’s video of the moment Rutgers won it:

Rutgers picked up an early lead, but Penn State quickly took control of the game and didn’t trail again until there was 1:24 remaining in the game.

Rutgers finished the game on an 18-5 run over the final 10:05 of the game. Derek Simpson led the Scarlet Knights with a game-high 16 points off the bench.

This is a big win for Rutgers, who is trying to fortify its NCAA Tournament résumé. Rutgers was a No. 9 seed in Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology update.

Meanwhile, it’s a very damaging result for Penn State. The Nittany Lions are on the NCAA Tournament bubble and could have used this home win for their résumé.

Rutgers plays at Minnesota on Thursday.
