The Nebraska Cornhuskers needed someone to come in clutch on its field goal unit last week against the Purdue Boilermakers. And backup punter Isaac Armstong did just that.
Now, Armstrong wasn’t kicking the field goals. He was holding for them.
Armstrong, who subbed in for Zack Darlington after Darlington was too sick to make the trip to Purdue for the Huskers’ 25-24 win, was a perfect 5-for-5 on holds coming off the bench. That type of performance earned the backup punter Mortell Holder of the Week honors.

After going perfect on holds last week, I think it is safe to say Armstrong definitely earned that honor.
