Omar Brown and the rest of the Nebraska Cornhuskers are gearing up for their first offseason under head coach Matt Rhule. In a recent workout video shared by Rhule, Brown put his strength and determination on display with an impressive buddy carry workout.

The video began with offensive lineman Teddy Prochazka carrying Brown on his back across the field. Brown had the duty of completing the return trip with Prochazka on his back. The defensive back never hesitated in hoisting Prochazka across his shoulders and heading back across the field.

For context, Prochazka is listed in Nebraska’s roster at 6-foot-10 and 320 pounds. He outweighs Brown by more than 100 pounds who is listed at 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds.

While strength and conditioning is important, there is usually a deeper meaning to workouts like these. Having your teammate’s back, determination and sharing the load are components that are deeply important when it comes to building a locker room.

Either way, Brown showed he has what it takes — physically and mentally — to carry one of his heaviest teammates.
