Penn State’s improbable March came to an end Saturday night, with their furious late comeback bid falling just short to 2-seed Texas, 71-66.
The Nittany Lions struggled to stop Texas’ big men, with Timmy Allen and Dylan Disu combining to score 37 points. They trailed by as much as 11 in the 2nd half, but came all the way back to take the lead late. That’s when Rodney Terry’s squad took over and slammed the door shut.
Disu was particularly incredible, posting a 28-points, 10-rebound double-double.

Camren Wynter and Myles Dread were the stars of the game for the Nittany Lions, scoring 16 and 12 points, respectively. Star guard Jalen Pickett was also incredible in a losing effort, dropping a 11-point, 10-rebound double-double. Pickett, despite an early exit, had an incredible year for Penn State.
The Nittany Lions finish their season with a 23-14 record in Micah Shrewsberry’s 2nd year in Happy Valley.
