Michigan’s running game was really working in the first half against Minnesota.

Not long after Karan Higdon broke through the Gophers defense for a 77-yard touchdown run, Chris Evans embarrassed P.J. Fleck’s crew, toting the ball 60 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.

Evans’ run required a little more work, as he had to elude a few defenders, but he still made the long touchdown run look pedestrian.

Coming into Saturday’s game, Evans had 298 yards and two touchdowns on 76 carries.

In the first half against Minnesota, Evans had 111 yards on just six touches.
