Urban Meyer was just as stunned as anyone by the beating Ohio State suffered at the hands of Iowa on Saturday. A 55-24 loss isn’t something isn’t something the Buckeyes experience too often.

After the game, Meyer met with the media for a post-game press conference. And for a lot of the questions that came his way, Meyer really didn’t have an answer.

“I don’t know, the game just ended,” Meyer said when asked about how things unraveled in Iowa City. “Obviously turnovers, they controlled the line of scrimmage, and we couldn’t stop them. Good team, tough environment and we didn’t play very well.”

That’s just a bit of an understatement. J.T. Barrett threw four interceptions and racked up 243 rushing yards on the ground. In every aspect of the game, the Hawkeyes were dominant.

But throughout the press conference, the “I don’t know” answer continued to fly from Meyer’s mouth. While in some situations he offered a brief explanation, most of the responses were preluded by those three words.

Here’s the full video of Meyer’s post-game press conference, recorded by BuckeyeGrove.com. But if you’re looking for some sort of explanation from the Buckeyes’ performance on Saturday, you probably won’t get it.
