Another puzzling spread has been released from Vegas, this time for Saturday’s matchup between Iowa and Wisconsin.
The Badgers are pegged as two-touchdown favorites just one weekend after the Hawkeyes pulled off one of the more surprising upsets of the college football season. It’s no surprise that Wisconsin — which is a perfect 9-0 — is the favorite, but to be tabbed a 13.5-point favorite against a solid Iowa team is a head-scratcher.
The line for next week’s game opened on Sunday.
Wisconsin -13.5 vs. Iowa this week (2:30 p.m.); 3rd time Hawkeyes have been a double-digit underdog this season. Covered previous 2 easily.

The Badgers are coming off a 45-17 win over Indiana and are ranked No. 3 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 6 in the Associated Press Poll. Iowa pummeled Ohio State, knocking off the Buckeyes 55-24 in Iowa City.
Iowa has now been slated as a double-digit underdog three times this season, covering the other two times. Last weekend, the Hawkeyes were 17.5-point underdogs vs. the Buckeyes.
Saturday’s game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET and will air on ABC.
