Michigan enshrines flag planted at midfield of Ohio Stadium following back-to-back wins vs. OSU

Michigan has fulfilled one of Jim Harbaugh’s wishes from the 2022 season.
In Columbus last season, the Wolverines put the finishing touches on a brilliant regular season with a dominant finish vs. Ohio State. Afterward, the Wolverines paraded one of the team’s flags around Ohio Stadium and planted it at midfield for a while.
Harbaugh was asked after the game if there were any issues with Michigan planting the flag at Ohio State. He downplayed the incident based on the nature of The Game rivalry, even saying he wanted the flag for Michigan’s museum.
“I want to get that flag and put it in our museum,” Harbaugh said.
Well, Harbaugh has gotten his wish. According to multiple reporters on hand Tuesday, Michigan has added the flag to the Towsley Museum within Schembechler Hall.

That’s a great way to immortalize Michigan’s back-to-back B1G titles and back-to-back wins in The Game. Along with commemorating the wins with a signature pendant, the flag will hold a place in Wolverine lore for some time to come.
