Ohio State earned a commitment from 4-star running back James Peoples on Sunday evening.
Peoples chose the Buckeyes over offers from programs like Oklahoma, Auburn, Alabama and USC, amongst others.

Peoples is a major addition for Ohio State in the class of 2024. He currently ranks as the No. 69 overall player and the No. 5 running back in the cycle, per 247Sports composite rankings.
He attends Veterans Memorial High School in San Antonio, Texas. He’s listed at 5-foot-10, 192 pounds.
Peoples is Ohio State’s 1st running back commitment in this cycle. Overall, the Buckeyes have commitments from 7 players in the class of 2024 so far.
The class ranks No. 5 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Peoples is now Ohio State’s 2nd-highest ranked commit in this class behind only 5-star receiver Jeremiah Smith.
