Tyler Wahl had a decision to make at the start of this offseason, and Tuesday he made up his mind. The star Wisconsin forward announced that he will be returning to Madison for the 2023-24 season, taking advantage of the Covid-19 eligibility rule for a 5th season in college.

Wahl finished this past averaging 11.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game. It’s worth noting that Wahl’s shooting numbers were down this season, so he’ll have a chip on his shoulder with the Badgers next season.

He made his announcement via social media Tuesday:

A lot can happen, but Wisconsin is now slated to return all of its starting 5 from last season, a team that missed the NCAA Tournament but finished 2nd in the NIT, falling to North Texas. At the same time, over 90% of Wisconsin’s scoring is set to return in 2023-24.

Let’s see how else Wisconsin can build its upcoming roster.
