Battle is a big pickup for Ohio State. Last season for Minnesota, he averaged 12.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-7 forward is also a career 35% 3-point shooter.

He has 1 year of eligibility remaining. He spent the last 2 years at Minnesota but began his career at George Washington.

Battle is the 1st transfer to commit to Ohio State so far in this cycle. However, the Buckeyes are adding a lot of new talent to their roster this offseason. OSU has the No. 8 recruiting class in the country for the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Battle figures to slot into Ohio State’s starting lineup next season. He started 56 games for the Gophers over the past 2 seasons.
