Brian Hartline is heading into the 2023 season with an increased role for Ohio State. He’s also wanting to see a packed-out Ohio Stadium for the upcoming spring game of the Buckeyes.

On Saturday, he addressed Buckeye Nation and urged fans to make the Horseshoe “110,000 strong” for the spring game:

“Buckeye Nation, April 15. We need everyone to show out,” said Hartline. “2-3 years ago, we filled that sucker. I think the stadium’s ready, let’s fill it 110,000 strong… We need you.”

Fans interested in attending the spring game should also be treated to some awesome weather for the afternoon. Hartline also put out on social media that the forecast currently calls for 80 degrees and sunshine for the game.

Outlook for Brian Hartline in 2023

Heading into the 2023 season, Hartline has been promoted to Ohio State’s offensive coordinator in addition to his duties coaching the wide receivers. He replaces Kevin Wilson who left Ohio State to become the head coach at Tulsa.

It remains to be seen if Hartline or head coach Ryan Day will serve as the primary play caller in the fall, but there’s no doubt the two will work closely together on the offense as a whole. The spring game will shed some insight on where things are at and likely give Hartline a chance to at least call a series or two.
