Ohio State is set to face off against West Virginia in a neutral site game on Dec. 30 of next season, according to a report from CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
The matchup is set to take place in Cleveland, a game that could be considered a semi-home game for the Buckeyes. The 2 teams have played 17 total times across their history, with Ohio State owning a slim 9-8 margin. West Virginia, though, has won 8 of the last 9.

This is a good test for Ohio State as it prepares to head into the bulk of B1G play nearing the end of December. The Mountaineers are likely to be a fringe top 25 team heading into next season, having made the NCAA Tournament this past season in an uber-tough Big 12.
Th Buckeyes are looking to turn their luck around, on the other hand. OSU missed the postseason last year after many agreed they’d crack the field, thanks in part to several key injuries.
An official announcement is expected soon.
