How’s that for clinching a sweep, Illinois fans?
The Illini baseball team earned a sweep over Minnesota Sunday with a walk-off 2-run home run by Jacob Schroeder, winning 6-5. Schroeder, who now has 12 home runs on the year, did so with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth. This is fairytale stuff.

Schroeder’s game-winner was his 2nd home run of the afternoon. He launched a solo shot in the 7th inning to tie things up at 3, too.

With this win, Illinois baseball improves to 18-18 on the season. This is Illinois’ first series win in B1G play and their first series win of the season since winning 2 of 3 against Southern Illinois in mid-March.
Next up. the Illini face off against Bradley on Tuesday before heading to Columbus for a weekend series against Ohio State.
