It happened again.
Just when we thought the College Football Playoff committee had enough to worry about, four teams in the top 10 went down this past weekend, three of which were in the top six. We knew a little bit of chaos would set in with so match-ups featuring two ranked teams on the slate, but it was still surprising to see how it all happened.
No. 1 Georgia and No. 3 Notre Dame were both blown out and No. 6 TCU didn’t put up much fight, either. It boosted the playoff chances for No. 10 Auburn, No. 7 Miami and No. 5 Oklahoma, the winners of those three contests.
Following the mayhem of a weekend in mid-November, ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit tweeted out his top four with just two Saturdays left in the regular season.

Herbstreit has Oklahoma, Alabama, Miami and Clemson occupying those top four spots, with Wisconsin and Auburn lurking at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
Five of the six teams notched a win over a ranked opponent on Saturday, with Clemson being the lone outlier. Alabama, Miami and Wisconsin are all still undefeated on the year.
