Olusegun Oluwatimi has a home in the NFL. The former Michigan offensive lineman is off the board. He was selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the 154th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
A transfer from Virginia, Oluwatimi heads to the pros after a memorable final college season at Michigan. A graduate student, Oluwatimi helped the Wolverines to a B1G title and an appearance in the College Football Playoff.
Oluwatimi started all 14 games for U-M at center in 2022. He picked up quite the hardware haul in his season in Maize and Blue.
Oluwatimi is Michigan’s first-ever Outland Trophy winner and also won the Rimington Award. The Michigan offensive line as a whole won the Joe Moore Award for the nation’s top unit, giving the Wolverines back-to-back seasons with the honor.
Walter Camp Football Foundation, Sporting News, FWAA, and AFCA all recognized Oluwatimi as a first-team All-American, making him a Consensus All-American. B1G coaches named Oluwatimi first-team All-B1G. He was named second-team all-conference by the media.
Whatever grade you have on @UMichFootball OC Olu Oluwatimi it’s probably too low.
Seeing very little on here about Outland & Rimington winner and not sure why.
Tested well (9-2 BJ, 29.0 VJ, 29 reps) and blew teams away in Combine interviews.
He’ll start for somebody as rookie. pic.twitter.com/hwqvueaGjm
