This year’s meeting will be the 120th time Indiana and Purdue have met on the gridiron, with the Boilermakers leading the all-time series 72-41-6. The two teams have battled for the Old Oaken Bucket since 1925 and Purdue owns a 58-31-3 advantage.
While Purdue has dominated the series, it’s been the Hoosiers that have had all the success recently. Indiana has won four-straight games over their rival, something that hadn’t happened since the 1940s. The Hoosiers have also been winners in six of the last 10 match-ups.
Indiana has had successful stretches against Purdue, but a win on Nov. 25 would be the first time in program history the Hoosiers won five straight games in the rivalry.
