Penn State adds former FCS coordinator, NFL assistant to analyst role

Penn State has added a defensive analyst to its program who comes with a vast array of experience across multiple levels of football.

Ola Adams will be a defensive analyst and analytics coordinator, The Daily Collegian reported.

Adams spent last season with the Denver Broncos as a defensive assistant, and previously coached for 3 years as Villanova’s defensive coordinator from 2019 to 2022. He was the Wildcats’ defensive coordinator when they visited Beaver Stadium in a 38-17 loss to Penn State in 2021.

Adams was named to the American Football Coaches Association’s 35 Under 35 list, which promotes the 35 best coaches under 35 years old.

Last year, Adams joined the Temple staff as co-defensive coordinator for about a month before he took the Broncos job.

Penn State this offseason previously added offensive analyst Calvin Lowry and special teams analyst Eric Sachse to the program.
