Devin Brown, Ohio State QB, updates injury status after missing OSU spring game

Devin Brown missed Ohio State football’s spring game in April after suffering a broken finger towards the end of spring practice.
According to a report from Cleveland.com Tuesday evening, Brown’s recovery is progressing quicker than anticipated. Brown informed Cleveland.com that he returned to full participation in practice 2 weeks ago.
This means that, despite a setback, Brown is likely back in the mix of a fierce QB competition with returner Kyle McCord. Ohio State HC Ryan Day is expected to decide between the 2 for the Buckeyes’ official starter come Sept. 2 when Indiana is set to host Ohio State to start the season.

Brown rode the bench last season as a 4-star QB prospect out of Draper, Utah. He’s the No. 5 overall QB in the Class of 2022.
McCord had a slight edge even before Brown’s injury inability to play in the spring game. He started 1 game for the Buckeyes in 2021 before CJ Stroud became the man to beat in Columbus. He has more experience in the OSU system, though Brown may be the more physically talented of the pair.
