Midway through the second quarter, Wisconsin was leading Michigan 7-0 inside Camp Randall Stadium. But the Wolverines were putting together a pretty effective drive, knocking on the door of the end zone and just a few yards away from tying the game.
A pass from Brandon Peters to Donovan Peoples-Jones near the sideline near the end zone appeared to put the Wolverines on the scoreboard. But the official ruled the pass incomplete, saying the catch was made out of bounds.
When the play was reviewed, it appeared that Peoples-Jones barely got one toe into the end zone before trailing off the field. But the officials still ruled the catch incomplete.
The play really cost Michigan, as Brandon Peters fumbled the ball a play later and cost the Wolverines a chance at scoring any points.
As you can see in the photos below, this was a really close play. Was the right call made?
