Pete Quinn, Purdue radio analyst, reportedly makes decision about career future

Pete Quinn, a radio analyst for Purdue since 1992, has reportedly made plans to step down after this season.

“It’s time,” Quinn, a former star Boilermaker center, told Tom Dienhart. “It’s 32 years. I turned 65 in January.”

Quinn was a starting offensive lineman for Purdue from 1978-1981 and team captain in 1979 and 1980. In 1987, he was voted to the Purdue University 100-year All Time Football team. He’s also the color analyst for Purdue football on the Purdue Sports Radio Network.

In 2016, Quinn was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame at a dinner for the Joe Tiller Chapter of the Northwest Indiana National Football Foundation. Quinn came to Purdue as an undersized center, even for that era, and left as an All-Big Ten Conference performer and was later voted as Purdue’s all-time greatest center, the Journal and Courier reported.
