Vaboue Toure, 4-star 2024 DB from New Jersey, announces B1G commitment

Vaboue Toure has found a home in the B1G. The blue-chip defensive back out of Irvington, New Jersey has committed to play for Penn State.

Toure took to social media on Friday to announce his pledge to play for James Franklin’s program.

Toure is listed as measuring 6-1, 185 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Toure is rated 4-stars, the No. 4 New Jersey product, No. 23 safety and No. 267 prospect overall nationally in the Class of 2024.

During his recruitment, Toure has picked up scholarship offers from 15 programs, including Michigan State, Ohio State, Rutgers, Wisconsin and USC. Ahead of his commitment, Toure was showing interest in Kentucky and Oklahoma.

With Toure on board, Penn State now has 17 commitments in a class ranked No. 7 nationally on the Composite. Nittany Lions fans can check out Toure in action in his Irvington junior season highlight reel below, via Hudl:
