Wisconsin learned of a decommitment to its 2024 recruiting class on Wednesday when Rob Booker, a 6-foot-6 and 215-pound tight end from Waunakee, Wisconsin parted ways from the Badgers.
Booker committed to Wisconsin on Jan. 31. Wisconsin’s class now has 15 total commitments.
“I cannot type out the words that show how appreciative I am for the entire coaching staff for giving me an incredible opportunity to play for them,” he wrote on social media, “as well as the fan base at Wisconsin for welcoming me in with open arms and making me apart of the family.”
At the time of his commitment, Booker chose Wisconsin over the likes of Minnesota, Michigan State, Iowa and Purdue, among others. He’s the No. 477 overall player and the No. 21 tight end in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 5 player from the state of Wisconsin in this class.
