Illinois has received a verbal commitment from 2024 Largo (Fla.) High defensive back Chase Green.
The 6-foot, 185-pound safety revealed his choice on Tuesday, picking the Illini over Temple and Tulane, among others. He took official visits to all 3, and also held offers from South Florida, Liberty, FIU, Arkansas State, and Bethune-Cookman.
The Illini have really caught fire on the trail during June, but especially of late. Green’s pledge is the third public commitment Illinois has received in the last 24 hours.
