Koy Beasley is a 4-star defensive back out of Cincinnati and one of the key Ohio prospects for the class of 2024. On Wednesday, he announced a commitment to a B1G West program.

Beasley previously announced a top 4 group of Wisconsin, Purdue, Rutgers and Pitt. He also received offers from Arkansas, Georgia, Michigan State, Nebraska, Minnesota and USC among others.

In the end, the work of Ryan Walters’ staff landed Beasley’s commitment to Purdue:

Beasley is listed at 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds out of LaSalle High School in Cincinnati. According to the 247 Sports Composite, he’s a 4-star prospect and the 9th safety recruit in the country. Beasley is just outside the top 100 recruits in the country (No. 123 overall) and the No. 5 player out of Ohio for the cycle.

The addition of Beasley brings Ryan Walters’ 2024 recruiting class up to 16 players. The Boilermakers now have a top-20 class with a group that is ranked 19th nationally per the 247 Sports Team Composite.

Beasley is the 4th player with a 4-star rating to commit to Purdue, and he’s the highest-ranked prospect to this point in the class.
