Penn State made a big addition in the class of 2024 on Friday.
The Nittany Lions earned a commitment from 3-star defensive lineman De’Andre Cook.
He announced his decision on Instagram Live:

Cook chose Penn State over offers from several other top programs. His offer list includes Oklahoma, Alabama and North Carolina, amongst numerous others.
He’s the No. 946 overall player and the No. 96 defensive lineman in the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 5 prospect from Washington DC.
Cook is a candidate to rise up the recruiting rankings in the coming months prior to the end of the 2024 cycle.
He attends Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington DC. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 260 pounds.
Penn State now has 21 commits in the class of 2024. Cook is the 2nd defensive lineman to join Penn State’s class in this cycle. The group sits at No. 6 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
