Henry Hasselbeck, 2024 QB and son of ex-NFL QB Matt Hasselbeck, makes B1G commitment

Henry Hasselbeck will play his college football at Michigan State.

Hasselbeck announced that decision on Friday evening. He is the son of longtime NFL quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.

Here’s his announcement:

Hasselbeck chose the Spartans over programs such as Boston College, Pittsburgh and Arizona. He took an official visit to East Lansing earlier this month.

He’s the No. 67 quarterback and the No. 5 player from Massachusetts in the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 165 pounds.

Hasselbeck attends Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, Massachusetts. That’s also his father’s alma mater.

Michigan State now has 10 commits in the class of 2024. Hasselbeck is the only quarterback and the first player from Massachusetts to join the class so far. The group ranks No. 56 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
