Justin Scott will be staying in B1G country. The news was reported by On3 Sports’ Hayes Fawcett on Sunday.
Scott picked Ohio State over the likes of Michigan, Georgia, and Miami. Scott is a 5-star DL from the 2024 class per the 247Sports Composite. He is also the No. 3 DL and No. 1 recruit from Illinois in the 2024 class.
The visit with the Buckeyes on Jun. 23 must have been enough for Scott to make a decision.

Plenty of B1G schools were competing for Scott’s signature. Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Penn State, Rutgers, Nebraska, and Wisconsin all offered him.
It’s no surprise that Scott picked Ohio State with some of the talent that has come out of Columbus on the D-line recently. Chase Young, Nick Bosa, and Joey Bosa are some of the recent Ohio State products on the defensive line to make it to the NFL.
Ohio State currently has the best 2024 class in the B1G with 17 total commits. Scott is the fourth 5-star recruit to pick the Buckeyes from the 2024 class.
Scott comes in at 6-foot-4, 310 pounds and will be looking to use his size to his advantage between the trenches.
