Wisconsin picked up a new commitment in the class of 2024 on Wednesday.

The Badgers flipped 3-star defensive lineman Dillan Johnson away from Northwestern. Johnson had been committed to the Wildcats since May of this year. He also had offers from programs such as Kansas State, Washington State and Cal.

Johnson also intends to wrestle while at Wisconsin. Here’s his announcement:

Johnson’s decision comes on the heels of Northwestern’s ongoing hazing scandal, which cost Pat Fitzgerald his job earlier this week. Johnson is the 3rd 2024 recruit to decommit from Northwestern so far this week.

However, Johnson may have been considering a change even prior to the events of the last week in Evanston. He took an official visit to Wisconsin back on June 2 — shortly after his original decision to commit to Northwestern.

Johnson is a big addition for the Badgers. He’s the No. 984 overall player and the No. 95 defensive lineman in the country for this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 20 player from Illinois.

He attends Joilet Catholic Academy in Joilet, Illinois. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 287 pounds.

Here are some highlights from Johnson’s junior season:
