Minnesota commitment backs off pledge to Gophers upon receiving Clemson offer

Adam Kissayi’s recruitment has had a major shakeup thanks to a new scholarship offer.
Kissayi, an edge defender out of Florida, committed to Minnesota back on June 18. Thursday, however, Kissayi took to social media for 2 big announcements. He first revealed Clemson extended a scholarship offer and then decommitted from the Golden Gophers.

A Heritage standout, Kissayi is listed as measuring over 6-7 and 230 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Kissayi is rated 3-stars, the No. 43 edge defender, No. 91 Florida recruit and No. 654 prospect overall nationally. The Gophers still have 23 commitments in their 2024 recruiting class, ranked No. 27 in the country on the Composite.
