Noah Fant breaks single-season TD reception record for an Iowa tight end
The ninth touchdown catch for Iowa tight end Noah Fant put his name at the top of the record book.
Heading into Saturday’s season finale against Nebraska, Fant had eight touchdown receptions, tying a single-season record for a Hawkeye tight end. His ninth touchdown catch came late in the first half in Lincoln.
With his ninth TD catch of the season, Fant is now the all-timer in TDs for a season for Iowa's TEs. I think that put him past Marv the King (seriously, Marv Cook's numbers are insane).

Fant was Iowa’s second-leading receiver coming into the game, hauling in 25 passes for 370 yards and those eight touchdowns. That’s quite a jump from last year, after catching just nine passes for 70 yards.
Just a sophomore, Fant as become one of the more consistent and most reliable targets for the Hawkeyes’ offense. His nine touchdown catches are a pretty good indication that he’ll have a big career in Iowa City.
