Purdue added another player to its offensive line for the 2023 season on Tuesday, according to a report.

The Boilermakers have added former Colorado O-lineman Austin Johnson, per BlackAndGold.com’s Tom Dienhart. Johnson has 2 years of eligibility remaining.

Johnson is entering his 5th season of college football. He was a member of Colorado’s 2019 signing class and redshirted that season.

He appeared in 20 games across his 4 seasons with the Buffaloes. Johnson played in 10 games for Colorado in 2022 and made 7 starts, but entered the transfer portal following Deion Sanders’ hiring this offseason.

Purdue has overhauled its offensive line via the transfer portal this offseason. Johnson is the 6th offensive line transfer Purdue has brought in for Year 1 of the Ryan Walters era.

Purdue’s transfer portal class is ranked No. 35 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Johnson was listed at 6-foot-4, 300 pounds last season at Colorado. He’s originally from Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
