Greg McElroy is a believer in Wisconsin for the 2023 season.
On Monday, McElroy made the case for the Badgers to go ‘over’ their regular season win total of 8.5 (via FanDuel).
McElroy is projecting losses against Ohio State and at Minnesota. He also has the Badgers losing to one of Washington State and Illinois.
“Still, you’re at 9. So therefore I like the over when it comes to Wisconsin,” McElroy said. “We know that Luke Fickell brings a vast array of knowledge as it relates to the Big Ten. You bring in Tanner Mordecai who is very accomplished in what he did at SMU.
“I’m high on the Badgers this year. Maybe too high. I’ll roll the dice with Phil Longo and Luke Fickell any day of the week.”
McElroy also has high praise for Wisconsin’s running back rotation, wide receiver room and defense.

Wisconsin is entering Year 1 with Fickell in charge. The Badgers went 7-6 last season and have appeared in 21 consecutive bowl games.
Wisconsin will open the season against Buffalo on Sept. 2.
