Saquon Barkley and the New York Giants have come to an agreement, according to a report.

Per the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Barkley has agreed to a 1-year deal that could be worth up to $11 million. The deal will ensure that Barkley will participate in Giants training camp this summer.

Barkley was franchise-tagged by the Giants earlier this offseason, but did not immediately sign his franchise tender. His $11 million contract means he could make slightly more than the franchise tag of $10.1 million.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Barkley’s deal does not prevent the Giants from franchise-tagging him again after this season.

Barkley has been one of the NFL’s best running backs when healthy. He rushed for 1,312 yards last season, which was a career-high. He also made 57 catches out of the backfield during the 2022 campaign.

Barkley is entering his 6th season in the NFL. He was the No. 2 overall pick out of Penn State in the 2018 NFL Draft. He has 4,249 rushing yards and 29 rushing touchdowns in his career.
