Northwestern sees starting DB enter transfer portal after 1 season

Northwestern football defensive back Jeremiah Lewis announced Tuesday that he will be entering the transfer portal after just 1 season in Evanston.
Lewis is the 3rd player to transfer from the Wildcats program after the firing of head coach Pat Fitzgerald. He will play elsewhere for his final season of college football.
Lewis started his career at Duke in 2018, playing with the Blue Devils for 4 seasons before transferring to Northwestern ahead of the 2022 season.

Lewis finished 3rd on the team last season with 70 tackles, also adding 3 tackles for loss and 4 pass breakups.
The Texas native started all 12 games for the Wildcats in 2022.
