Keaton Ellis has Penn State in his blood, as a State College native and even once trick-or-treated in a No. 2 Penn State jersey, something he wears now on Saturdays in the fall.
Last season, Ellis started all 13 games at safety, and made 24 tackles (15 solo), 2 tackles for loss and 7 pass breakups.
“It’s been a really crazy journey for me,” Ellis said on the Big Ten Network at Media Days in Indianapolis. “Very early, I had my mind set on what I wanted, and through hard work and support and my family, friends, I was able to get the opportunity to come here. Not only play, but play well, and lead the team. I’m just really thankful, it’s been all God-willing so I’m really thankful for all the opportunities I’ve had.”
