Ezekiel Elliott is a free agent, looking for his next destination after the Dallas Cowboys released the star running back this offseason. Now, he has one key visit lined up for the weekend.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Elliott is reportedly set to visit with the New England Patriots on Saturday. While Elliott had a down season in 2022 per his standards, he remains one of the top backs available on the free-agent market.

This could impact the RB-needy AFC East, as well as the Dalvin Cook derby, since he and Elliott are considered the top backs available.

Last season, Elliott set career-low marks for rushing yards (876) and yards per carry (3.8) but still managed to score 12 touchdowns. It was the second season for Elliott without 1,000 yards rushing since the start of 2020, and he has not been to the Pro Bowl since the 2019 season.
During his career with the Cowboys, Elliott posted 4 seasons of at least 1,000 rushing yards, including a career-high 1,631 yards and First-Team All-Pro nod as a rookie in 2016. We’ll see if the Patriots have serious interest in the former Ohio State star in the days and weeks to come.
