Mikey Lewis’ top six schools were announced on social media on Saturday. On3 Sports’ Joe Tipton posted the list on Twitter.
Lewis is listed as a combo guard from the 2024 class by 247Sports. The 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 10 CG and No. 7 California prospect. He hails from Napa, California and attends Prolific Prep.
Illinois, LSU, St. Mary’s, San Diego State, Ole Miss, and Kansas all made the cut. Lewis would be a nice grab for Brad Underwood and the Fighting Illini.

The Fighting Illini have two commits from the 2024 class. A pair of power forwards in Morez Johnson and Jason Jakstys are the only commits Underwood has so far. Johnson is a 4-star commit, while Jakstys is a 3-star commit.
Illinois is the only B1G program that has shown interest in Lewis so far.
The Fighting Illini had a first-round exit from the NCAA Tournament last season. Illinois was beaten by Arkansas 73-63.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Fighting Illini can convince Lewis to leave the state of California.
