Gilbert’s listed measurements are 6-1, 175 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Gilbert is rated 5-stars, the No. 2 safety, No. 6 recruit in the state of Georgia and No. 25 prospect in the Class of 2025.

OSU was among the first handful of teams to extend a scholarship offer to Gilbert. Since his commitment to Ohio State, Gilbert has picked up numerous offers. Michigan State, Georgia, Tennessee, Miami, Florida State, South Carolina, USC, Texas A&M, Alabama, Florida, LSU, Auburn, NC State and Colorado are currently in the mix.

Gilbert was in Columbus on April 5. Since then, he has taken visits to Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Tennessee, NC State, USC and Alabama.

Prospects in the 2025 recruiting class won’t be signing until December 2024. We’ll see what’s next for Gilbert.
