If the College Football Playoff committee cared about ESPN’s power rankings, Wisconsin would be comfortably in one of the semi-final games at the end of the season, at least as it stands currently.
Sunday morning, ESPN released its most recent power rankings following the final week o the regular season and the Badgers came in at No. 3, just behind Clemson and Oklahoma. Auburn and Alabama rounded out the final two spots.
Each of the top three teams won in convincing fashion on Saturday, and Auburn defeated Alabama in the Iron Bowl.

The most recent power rankings are vastly different from what analyst Kirk Herbstreit thought the top four would look like. He had Auburn at No. 1 and Wisconsin at No. 5. He also had Georgia occupying one of the top four spots.
Herbstreit did agree with Clemson and Oklahoma.
It should be interesting to see what the selection committee does with the Top 10 on Tuesday and where teams like Wisconsin and Ohio State fit into the picture.
