Jaylen Harvey is a 4-star Edge prospect and one of the top players from Maryland for the 2024 recruiting class. On Friday, he dropped his list of 3 finalists moving forward.
Mike Locksley’s in-state Terrapins made the cut along with Penn State. USC — on its way to the B1G in 2024 — is the final program to make the cut. Michigan and Ohio State were B1G programs to make Harvey’s first update late in 2022 but did not make his final list.
We have worked extremely hard to get to this point and we will continue to embrace every opportunity and challenge going forward!💪🏾💪🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾🏈 @uscfootball @USC_Athletics @PennStateFball @TerpsFootball @Scott_Schrader pic.twitter.com/EnJpJrzdi7

Harvey is listed at 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds out of Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He’s rated as a 4-star Edge and the 27th overall prospect at the position per the 247 Sports Composite. The system also rates Harvey as the 11th player out of Maryland and the 344th player in the country.
A prospect of Harvey’s stature would provide a boost to any team’s recruiting class. As things currently stand Penn State and USC hold the No. 3 and No. 5 recruiting classes in the B1G per the 247 Sports Team Composite. Maryland’s 2024 recruiting class is ranked 12th in the B1G with a pair of 4-star prospects committed.
