Former Ohio State DE signs deal with New York Jets

Former Ohio State defensive end Jalyn Holmes, who played for OSU from 2014 to 2017 and was a member of the 2015 national championship team, signed a deal with the New York Jets on Monday.
Holmes has played for 4 teams in the NFL and will suit up for No. 5 in New York. He previously played for the Giants, Saints Vikings and Bears.

Holmes has started 10 games across his NFL career, with 9 of those starts coming in 2020 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played in just 1 game last season for the Bears, totaling 3 tackles.
Across his career, Holmes has totaled 60 tackles with 6 tackles for loss and 1 sack.
