ESPN reports Tennessee shifting focus to Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm

Tennessee has refocused its coaching search and has set its target on Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm, according to ESPN’s Chris Low.
On Wednesday morning, Low reported that the Volunteers were targeting Brohm and that he had become one o the top candidates after Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy turned down the job.

Brohm finished his first season at Purdue, leading the Boilermakers to a 6-6 record and their first bowl berth since 2012. He’s made an immediate splash in West Lafayette and it appears other programs are noticing.
Tennessee has looked at other candidates since the backlash from reportedly hiring — and backing away from — Greg Schiano, but Brohm’s name has been lingering.
Low also reported that Tennessee had reached out to Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele and SMU head coach Chad Morris.
